I take a practical, holistic approach to making simple changes to re-balance your health and wellbeing, and create the lifestyle that is right for you.

I believe that we all have the power within us to become what we want to be, but with our busy lifestyles and external pressures, we often get drawn in to negative cycles, don't realise that the right solution for us might be different from everyone else, lose confidence & self-belief, and can't see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Members will benefit from regular tips, ideas, guidance and support to help them transform their health & wellbeing, with the aim of reducing unwanted symptoms, creating a calmer and more positive Mindset, thereby increasing energy levels, steadying moods, and providing a boost in confidence to carry in to the second half of life.

It is a safe environment to ask ANY questions related to mid-life peri-menopausal and menopausal issues.

Breakthrough programme
My Breakthrough programme is a short re-set programme, to enable you to create direction and purpose in your life, and start a new lifestyle journey.  It's like setting the satnav in your car -  identify where you’re starting from, and where you’re going to.  

Using the same principle, I work with you to identify where you are at present by creating your own personal lifestyle profile, then I support you to decide where you want to go.  Your destination will be realistic for you in terms of time, energy, family/work commitments, money and your own personal objectives.   

The Breakthrough programme consists of 2 sessions, by the end of which you will be motivated and re-energised with new skills to help you work towards your desired goals.
Renew, Transform & Bloom
This programme is for women who are committed to taking back control of their health, and find a new life path that they really want to follow, but don't know where to start, and would value additional, personalised support. 

You will not only create a mid-life journey that works for you, but you will also have the tools, skills and knowledge to support your body and mind through to the next stage of your life.  

The programme comprises 6 modules, each of which has online training accompanied by worksheets:
  1. Menopause & mid-life mindset - putting you first & creating your future
  2. Relaxation & building resilience through stress management
  3. What we consume, identifying triggers & busting menopause-unfriendly habits
  4. What we do - movement, exercise & daily life routines
  5. Optimising sleep, developing compassion and loving yourself
  6. Creating a positive and sustainable future - putting it all together & moving forwards

This programme can be totally personal to you, in which case each module is followed by a full 1-to-1 coaching session.  These coaching sessions take place at a time to suit you, and the pace of the programme can also match your needs - it would usually take 3-5 months. 

If you choose to join a group programme, this will last for 3 months, and there will be regular group coaching sessions throughout the programme.

In either case, you will start and end the programme with a 1-to-1 coaching session to provide personalised support and guidance.

Bespoke coaching programme
If you have a particular goal in mind, then I can design a coaching programme around that to support you to achieve that goal.  This could be any number of sessions, but typically it will be 2-6.  

We will discuss your needs, aims and resources, and I will create a personalised programme just for you.

What is coaching?
In very simple terms, coaching helps you to get from where you are now, to where you want to be.  
Coaching is about unlocking your potential to achieve what you want to - through a learning and development process, rather than being told what to do.  It is enabling, empowering, and practical.

A coaching session will involve a discussion about what you would like to achieve, working out how you're going to get there, and devising strategies to overcome obstacles that might be getting in your way.  It will flow at a pace that is comfortable for you, is positive, collaborative, informative, non-judgemental and solutions-focused.

Health coaching is relatively new to the UK, so you may not be familiar with what health coaches do. According to the UK Health Coaches Association:

  • A Health Coach is a wellness professional trained to support, educate and empower you to find your way to better health
  • We help you discover health promoting lifestyle choices unique to your needs and support you to learn how to include them in your life for positive, lasting change
  
Health coaching is a tool that complements other parts of the health system.  There is so much information out there – how do you know what to believe? How do you ever get the time to read it all?  Health coaching can help you cut your own path through the overwhelming forest of advice and options.  
 
Furthermore, knowledge is not enough to change behaviour.  A coaching programme will help you overcome barriers such as needing to change habits, dealing with procrastination, and challenging beliefs such as not being able to achieve what you want.
Where does coaching take place?
I usually provide coaching by video chat, which means I can support you no matter where you live.
How many sessions will I need?
All coaching programmes are personalised, but typically we will work together for 2-6 sessions, once every 2-8 weeks. 
Each session is usually 1-1.5 hours except for the first session which is longer to cover our initial scene-setting discussions.
How do I find out more about working with you before I make a commitment?
It is important that you are comfortable with my approach and style, therefore I offer an initial free consultation to discuss what you're looking for, and for you find out more about how I can help and support you.  
What do I need to prepare before my first session?
I have a simple Details Form which I ask you to complete before our first session, which includes some prompts to help you think about what you might want to achieve from the programme.  Other than that, just bring yourself and an open mind.
I practice a non-directive form of coaching, which means I enable you, through a collaborative process called 'guided discovery', to find your own conclusions and solutions.  So even if you're not sure exactly what you want to achieve, I will help you undercover what is right for you.
How much does it cost?
Your initial consultation is free of charge.  As all coaching programmes are personalised, they are priced individually.
How can I be sure I'm going to benefit from your coaching programme?
Coaching is all about you, what you want to achieve and how much you are prepared to put in to the process.  It's a bit like the old adage - 'you get out what you put in'. 

Having said that, coaching is proven to achieve amazing results if you are ready and committed to moving forwards in your life.
From a practical point of view, each session will start with a discussion about what you want to achieve, and finish with a progress review and an agreement of what's going to happen next.  That way there will be structure, purpose and progress and all our work will be personalised to your needs.

I practice cognitive behavioural coaching, which means that I can help you change habits, behaviours, thoughts and beliefs.

Furthermore, one of the aims of coaching is to help you develop the necessary skills to become your own coach!  By using the knowledge and skills you will acquire in our sessions, you will develop new and effective ways of dealing with challenges in the future.
How do I know this is a professional service?

Are you medically qualified?
